The Fraser also is home to the sturgeon, one of the world’s largest and oldest freshwater fish. The freshwater giants are a fantastic challenge for sports anglers who learn quickly the power of this hardy fish. A catch-and release program is proving scientifically that we have a healthy sturgeon population on the Fraser. |

 Our sockeye salmon fishery on the Fraser River is extremely popular. The fishing is fabulous! A sunny day on the Fraser catching your limit of plentiful sockeye is a dream come true. During the summer months, the Chinook fishing is very good, with some weighing up to 27 kilograms.
